Live with gratitude
Because others have lost
for what you have;
Live with conviction
Because your life and autonomy
Is a precious rarity;
Live with compassion
Because the world suffers for you
And you are inextricably tied to it.

Preramble
It's hard to relearn what has already been forgotten;
Even something as natural as walking.
It feels as though
My body's numb and
I can't control it. And
I can't speak about these emotions I don't fully experience. And
I can't relate these experiences
That aren't exclusively mine.
Everything flays about in concert
Like the disjointed pieces of a moving jigsaw puzzle, arranged in order
But each piece held deliberately separate from the other.
So that the parts know the whole exists,
And the whole knows that
It is broken.
And with each movement, each sway, each swing, the distance only grows,
and now nothing can be put back together
Without foreign intervention.
How will You fix Me now?
